Phantom Effects has been very busy with numerous different productions and events since opening their studio doors in March 2018. We took over a 1300 square foot space located at Main Street Station (formerly the Cornwallis Inn) in the historical town of Kentville NS. Since then the community has embraced our talents and is keeping us booked up with many fun and exciting adventures that we would like to share with you. WORKSHOP - CREATE YOUR OWN CREATURE SPFX

Phantom Effects is going to start a series of workshops in 2019. This eight session course will take you from start to finish character development. Each student may create an original character or may develop a character inspired by current film and television effects.

The course takes students through all the phases of character conceptualization and prosthetic application, including design, sculpture, molding, formulation of foam latex and gelatin, as well as applying prosthetic pieces, blending and coloring techniques.

At the end of the course, students will be required to design and create a fully developed prosthetic character, and costume for a professional head-shot photo shoot (allow editing time).
